I used to have a nice green anole (American Chameleon), but I was
feeding it crickets, and one day I bought some goldfish flakes, some
oatmeal, and some cornmeal. After feeding this to my crickets, they
turned albino and ate my anole one weekend. Skeletonized him. I had to
drown the crickets to get even.
Currently, the parents own two dogs. A red-heeler/Australian-heeler mix (Adolph), and a Miniature Schnauzer (Gypsy). I used to own a chihuahua (Peanut), but my parents euthanised him in 1995 when he had a stomach-ache. Until mid-August 1997, I had a pure-bred mutt (Commando) of approximately 16 years of age. He was euthanised after running into a parked car, which popped his eye out of the socket. Before that, I've had... oh.. 20 or so dogs. Most of them were ran over by trucks or eaten by wolves or other painful deaths. Never had a dog die of old age.
My second reptilian pet was a bearded dragon, purchased for me by my
fiancee (now my wife) for Valentine's Day, 1997. He has went by three
names, Spike, Buddy, or Corchran. He was a nice enough little fellow,
and he never needed to fear being eaten by crickets. He lived a bit
over six years, dying of some mystery weakness on Easter of 2003.
For a week in January 2002 we kidnapped a Tokay Gecko.
And, in July 1999, the wife got a cat, Ping. It's okay, for a cat.
As of August 15, 2003, I now own my very own Whippet. He is an AKC Limited
Registration under the name Cyrano's Nefarious, which I think gets filed at one year of age. His social name is Nerf.
Here are his pictures until I make him a link below.
