lots to love

i wonder -
are mountains more impressive
seen from above
where their true magnitude
can be fully appreciated
or seen from below
forced to climb
to thier foggy tops?
how do you ever know where the tallest point is?
you must climb them all
and still have no way
to measure
as you gaze out through
limited visibility
at an ambiguous sea of height.
mountains
here, there, above, on, below, near, far...
they are merely big
not strong, not permanent
just big.
