"Bad Folk is a band that combines
the worst elements of old timey folk,
punk rock, and drunken abandon into
a grisley picture of the desolation
of modern american life."

Just added another show. Bad Folk is playing with The Prince Myshkins again at Lemp Arts Center. Tim says, "Prince Myshkins are a radical and humorous folk duo (accordion and guitar) that Bad Folk (Kevin Buckley and I) opened for two years ago, they're really fun and talented...". They'll be in for a surprise with Bad Folk's new lineup, eh? Speaking of accordion, we've been cookin' up something special for the show on the 14th. Adam who plays keyboards in Gasoline Alley is going to play accordian with us for about half the set! Woohoo! Fun, fun, fun in the produce department.. We're gonna get 'er done this time fer sure! Did I mention the PUPPET SHOW!!?!?

Last night's show was a lot of fun. The headliner, Red-Ass Jones and the GoldBondsmen, were awesome. If you get a chance to go see them don't miss it! Never had that much fun on a Teusday night at the Way Out. Two new shows on the side bar there, one at Radio Cherokee, a great all ages venue at Cherokee and Compton, and an in-store show at Vintage Vinyl in October. Well, that's all for now! Till next time...

Lots has been going on since the last update. Tim went carousing in Europe with his brother for three weeks! Universal word for beer in the eastern European world is... PIVO!! Right before he left the band had the good fortune to book a day long recording session with Jason Hutto of Phonocaptors fame. We were able to get about half of a album done. According to all reports it already sounds good, even at it's half-baked stage. Look forward to our first recording to be ready in the next month or three. We are all very excited. In addition to that we've been writing some new material and have a bunch of shows coming up. Hope to see you soon! Pivo, Pivo, Pivo!!!

Bad Folk just keeps getting worse! Troy's learning to play the fiddle, and the upright bass! He's building himself a new fiddle right now, so look forward to some eviscerated cat noises gracing the stage in the near future. Lots more shows coming up, and we're trying out a new club, Infierno, in April. Mexican food! House PA and soundguy! Mexican Food! Conviently located right next to Tangerine where good cocktails are too be had and abductions occur irregularly... Oh.. and MEXICAN FOOD!! Yum.

Last night was a fun show! Hellfire Club is a great band and we're really looking forward to playing with them at the gig on the 28th... Since last time, I've added little bit to each section. There are mp3s to download now (recorded live at practice), lyrics to some of the songs, and some links.. I'll add more later! Thanks for stopping by..
